New Class

The new Novel III class at UCLA Extension has been underway for the past three weeks.

I don't have much to say now, except that I feel more at home than the last time around. I've found a few enthusiastic classmates, and my instructor, Jessica Barksdale Inclan, has done well so far.

I have found a classmate who refuses to read my work while reading everyone else's - she has an adopted Kenyan name, so I presume she adopted the culture's homophobia too. Aside from that, I've had trouble matching the enthusiasm of some of the classmates due to my busy schedule (I am in San Diego for an extended workshop right now), something I hope to address soon.
